Smartkat Inflatable Sailing Catamaran (5 Meter Racing Hull)
Product description of Smartkat Inflatable Sailing Catamaran (5 Meter Racing Hull)
This is a portable high-performance sailing catamaran for serious sailors. It is a fast sailing boat for a crew of 1 to 4. It can also be sailed with an optional trapeze and is offered in a 4 Meter Performance Edition and 5 Meter Racing Edition. The hulls are made from heavy-duty multi-layer PVC and attach to a large diameter anodized aluminum tubular frame which also supports the trampoline.
The sophisticated construction of the 6′ long trampoline offers a comfortable area for active sailing or just lazing around. There are three hiking straps which run along the trampoline to lock in your feet when sailing in strong winds and flying a hull. The swing keel and flip-up rudder give the boat a distinctive upwind advantage. The centerboard and rudder will kick up on ground contact allowing for easy beaching. Because of the centerboard’s placement in the center of effort, the rudder pressure is minimal even at high speeds when flying a hull. The mast is made of anodized aluminum tubing and consists of 3 separate sections of equal length.
It is reinforced in the mid-section to give it extra rigidity and strength. The shrouds are made of Dyneema a high-tech synthetic material that is superior to stainless steel rigging and won’t splice. The mainsail and jib are made from heavy duty Dacron that will retain its shape over many years. Dacron gives the sails great strength, high UV resistance and allows the sails to dry quickly. The Mainsail is manufactured with an extra “X-ply” laminate in its high-stress areas. It also features battens which can be adjusted depending on the wind conditions. The jib comes with a continuous furling system. The total sail area is 107 sqf (64 sqf main and 43 sqf jib). The boat can also be used without sails and an optional motor mount for long-shaft outboards of up to 5 hp is available. The Torqeedo line of electrical outboards is a perfect fit and a popular choice with yacht owners that use the Smartkat as a tender.

Tips for buying a sailboat.
The program.
Determine your program, in order to target the size of the boat you are going to buy, its equipment, its marine qualities, its facilities. It would be a shame to buy a pure racer very technical to make the family cruise and vice versa.
The budget.
Determine your total budget well; the purchase of the boat, the costs to be expected , whether they are immediate or to be considered in the coming years (rigging, sails, engine very expensive items) as well as the annual costs ( insurance , place of construction, wintering, equipment, …), but also the berth, often too underestimated.
The size of the boat.
This point is directly related to the first two but is also a source of concern if the size does not match the desires and abilities of the crew.
The inflatable catamaran sailboat for sale on the pontoon of the port, with its beard of seaweed and its greenery, this sailboat, in the bottom of the construction site, which does not wait to take again the sea. Nice business in perspective if one knows how to verify point by point a boat.
Important points to check before buying a fishing boat
A boat must be controlled afloat and dry. this will allow you to test the engine, the color of the fumes, its reactions and to check that there are no water leaks. Then, dry, control of several points is essential, before any expertise. If you have any doubt, turn around. Find the complete file on the points and read more customers inflatable catamaran sailboat reviews to check before buying a sailboat.
Advantages of the catamaran
Space is much larger on two hulls than on just one hull. As a result, catamarans usually have more cabins and often more toilets and wet cells compared to monohulls of the same length, allowing the crew to enjoy greater privacy.
Catamarans do not push, so they have almost no inclination when sailing. With everyday things on board (cooking, eating, sleeping) this is a big advantage. Tools, instruments, crockery and all sorts of odds and ends remain safely in the shelf much longer, while on a monohull you have to secure every little thing, so it does not fly through the boat.
I recommend buying Inflatable Catamaran Sailboat for activity on a happy day all the time.
